چکیده

On the topic of power systems, most critical assignment would be providing facilities to make electricity available at lowest price with a fulfilled level reliability for all consumers. Today, transmission has received more concentration due increasing essence high-quality energy customers and operating competitive conditions in markets. In this regard, paper scrutinizes reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) issue terms considering two optimal strategies assets decrease their forced outage rate (FOR). This techno-economic budget-based is probabilistic approach help asset managers experts decision-making process: determine between associated costs provide economical resource allocation these elements, which leads an improvement whole network. Decreasing average probability Energy Not-Supplied (ENS), simulation determined proper strategy components. After that, repercussions fallen ENS will analyzed total cost (MC), operation (OC), system's (TC). Also, IEEE 24-bus test system considered as case study demonstrating proposed technique's practicality.

An Optimum Solution for Electric-Power Theft

Electric power theft is a problem that continues to plague power sector across the whole country. Every year, the electricity companies face the line losses at an average 20-30% and according to power ministry estimation WAPDA companies lose more than Rs. 125 billion. Significantly, it is enough to destroy the entire power sector of country. According to sources 20% losses means the masses woul...

Scheduling Maintenance Activities of Electric Power Transmission Networks Using an Hybrid Constraint Method

In this paper we present a Constraint Logic Programming (CLP) based model, and hybrid solving method for the Scheduling of Maintenance Activities in the Power Transmission Network. The model distinguishes from others not only because of its completeness but also by the way it models and solves the Electric Constraints. Specifically we present a efficient filtering algorithm for the Electrical C...

Supervisory Control of Electric Power Transmission Networks

The methodology of discrete-event systems (DESs) and supervisory control is applied to a line-restoration problem, aiming to increase the steady-state security level of a power network during restoration. An example using the IEEE 14-bus system serves to demonstrate the potential of the DES formulation in the control of power networks, and to introduce the basic tools and techniques that this f...
